Upcoming Budapest Event - Accelerate GDT Meeting
The Accelerate GDT Project will host its 4th partner meeting in Budapest from February 3-5, 2025 with the National Development Centre, focused on accelerating the green and digital transitions of small and medium-sized enterprises and enhancing their competitiveness within regional and national clusters. The event will bring together partners from across Europe to share insights, best practices, and explore new collaboration opportunities.
The two-day event will feature key discussions on the critical role of cluster managers in driving the green and digital transitions. Participants will delve into policy instruments, good practice presentations, and brainstorming sessions to explore how regional and national cluster policies can be aligned to better support these transitions. One of the central aims of the meeting is to foster cooperation between clusters and policymakers, ensuring that SME competitiveness and resilience are enhanced in line with the European Commission’s competitiveness and smart specialization strategies.
The gathering will kick off with a policy instrument meeting on February 3, followed by a transnational public meeting the next day, hosted by Hungary's National Development Centre. Among the highlights will be keynote speeches on Hungary’s Cluster Strategy, along with a presentation of Hungarian Cluster Alliances and innovative cluster practices.
The Accelerate GDT Project is a cross-border initiative led by Munster Technological University in Ireland and involving partners from eight other countries. By improving the coordination of cluster policies, the project aims to promote economic recovery, enhance regional resilience, and facilitate the growth of green and digital sectors.
